We have excellent access to the Central Alabama High-Field NMR Facility and UAB Chemistry NMR facility equipped with Bruker Avance II and III HD 850, 700, 600 and 500 MHz spectrometers with TCI cryoprobes.  Students and postdocs receive expert training in spectrometer operation, NMR experiment setup, and data analysis.  Biophysics facilities include MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, fluorescence spectroscopy, analytical ultracentrifugation, titration calorimetry, high-throughput screening and protein crystallization.

High-performance computing is available in our laboratory, the Department of Chemistry and through the Alabama Supercomputer Center.  Additional research facilities are available through the UAB Center for Structural Biology and Center for Biophysical Sciences and Engineering.  In addition to solution NMR spectroscopy, our laboratory supports central molecular biology and biochemistry techniques such as molecular cloning, mutagenesis, PCR, protein expression and purification.
